Security official martyred in terrorist attack on DI Khan checkpost
In Dera Ismail Khan, a security personnel was martyred in a terrorist attack on a checkpost on Monday night. A police officer informed the media that the militants attempted to target the Abba Shaheed checkpost, but the quick response force provided a fitting response.
According to the officer, the terrorists managed to escape due to the effective response from the security officials. However, during the intense exchange of fire, a member of the quick response force lost his life. Additionally, two laborers working in nearby fields were also killed during the incident.
On the same day, security forces eliminated seven terrorists in an exchange of fire in the Sambaza Sector of Zhob district near the Pakistan-Afghan border. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the exchange of fire occurred during an intelligence-based operation.
The ISPR stated, “Own troops effectively surrounded and engaged the fleeing terrorists. Resultantly, seven terrorists were neutralized, who were actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of innocent civilians.” The operation also led to the recovery of arms, ammunition, and explosives from the deceased terrorists. A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any other terrorists present in the area.
