Punjab government has increased winter vacations.Â
All schools in the province will have winter vacation from January 1 to January 9.
Lahore: Winter vacations have been extended by the Punjab government, winter vacations have been extended in schools across Punjab due to the increase in the severity of winter. According to the details, a meeting of the provincial cabinet was held under the chairmanship of caretaker chief minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, in which it was decided to extend the winter vacation in schools. There will be additional winter vacations, in this regard all the institutes are directed to follow the winter vacation procedures and resume the teaching process from 10th January.
Earlier, the winter vacations were till January 1, the news of extension of vacations of all the educational institutions of the Punjab province was coming out. The consideration of extending the period was started.
It was told that due to the increase in the severity of the cold, the Provincial School Education Department was considering an increase in the holidays by one week. Considering the severity of the incident, parents also demanded an increase in holidays.
On the other hand, the Department of Literacy and Non-Formal Education has announced winter vacations in non-formal schools. In this regard, the notification has revealed that vacations in these educational institutions will start from January 1 and will continue till January 10.
