Three seasons earlier, when Max Verstappen overtook Lewis Hamilton on the final corner of the last race, it marked a significant shift in the Formula 1 landscape. The British icon had left an indelible mark on the sport, earning enduring respect. However, a new leader was poised to emerge, and that is precisely what unfolded.
In 2022, no one could match Verstappen’s skill as the Dutch driver surged ahead of his competitors to clinch a second consecutive title. His accomplishments in 2023, however, were even more extraordinary. Not only did he secure his third successive championship trophy, but he did so by winning an impressive 19 out of the 22 races in the season. This remarkable feat established a new record for the most wins in a single season and propelled his team, Red Bull Racing, to yet another Constructors’ Championship.
