This year, he elevated his legendary status to unprecedented heights by surpassing the iconic Kareem Abdul Jabbar as the league’s all-time leading scorer, breaking a record that had stood for an impressive 39 years.
On February 7, 2023, during a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, James reached this historic milestone, scoring his 38,388th point with his trademark 21-foot fallaway jumper.
Reflecting on this monumental accomplishment, James expressed his gratitude, stating, “To be in the presence of such a legend and great as Kareem, it means so much to me. It’s very humbling.
