Kashmiris observing India’s Republic Day as Black Day 

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control are observing India’s Republic Day as Black Day on Friday, protesting against the continuous denial of their democratic right to self-determination by India. The call to observe this day has been issued by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other pro-freedom organizations.

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu Kashmir, the day will witness a complete strike, while anti-India demonstrations are planned in Azad Kashmir and various world capitals.

Simultaneously, India has escalated its crackdown in the region, implementing an unprecedented lockdown and deploying additional check-posts, subjecting people to thorough inspections in the name of security.
