Kangana Ranaut enters the political arena, poised to run in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
The Bollywood luminary known as the ‘Queen,’ Kangana Ranaut, is set to venture into the realm of politics, as reported by The Economic Times.
The confirmation was provided by Kangana’s father, Amardeep, who revealed her plans to contest the upcoming elections exclusively on a BJP ticket. Speculation had arisen following her meeting with BJP’s National President JP Nadda in Kullu on Sunday.
This convergence of the entertainment and political spheres reflects a global phenomenon observed over several decades. Kangana, a vocal supporter of the Modi government, had previously hinted at her political aspirations in media interviews, aligning herself with BJP initiatives. In November, during a conversation with PTI, Kangana expressed her desire to enter the upcoming Lok Sabha elections if “blessed by Lord Krishna.” While offering prayers at the Dwarkadhish temple in Dwarka, the actor alluded to a potential political journey, keeping the door open for the future.
Commending the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Union government, she lauded their role in the installation of Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya, a significant achievement after “600 years of struggle.”
In July, Kangana garnered attention with a series of Instagram Stories, delving into her purported encounters with fellow actors and exposing what she referred to as the ‘film mafia’ within the industry. Among the revelations, she shared her experiences with actor Hrithik Roshan and hinted at another superstar, believed to be Ranbir Kapoor, making startling claims about their behavior and intentions.
On the professional front, the actor is preparing for a pivotal role portraying former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the upcoming biographical historical drama film, “Emergency,” which explores the tumultuous period of the Indian Emergency between 1975 and 1977.
