Gen Faiz summoned again for recording statement
The former ISI chief had been asked to record his statement in the second week of January 2024
ISLAMABAD: On Friday, the Faizabad Dharna Inquiry Commission (FDIC) once again called upon the former Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed. However, sources indicate that he did not appear as summoned.
In response to his absence, the commission issued another notice through the Ministry of Defence, instructing him to participate in the inquiry, as per sources.
Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed had been requested to provide his statement in the second week of January 2024. Previously, he was summoned by the commission for the second week of December 2023 and then for Friday, December 29. However, he disregarded those notices.
The inquiry pertains to the sit-in organized by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) at the Faizabad flyover. This marks the third time he has been summoned for January 2024.
