Now, in a district in the northwestern region of Pakistan, these educationists are set to receive the recognition they deserve.

Amidst the latest developments, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Swat has issued directives for his force members to salute as a gesture of respect for the pivotal role played by teachers.

Shafiullah Gandapur conveyed these new instructions to all police officers in Swat, commending the significant role of educators in societal development. The senior law enforcement officer firmly believes that denying the role of teachers in a country’s progress is inconceivable.

Citing religious teachings, the DPO equates teachers to the status of fathers, emphasizing that true progress is unattainable without respecting these mentors. In line with the new orders, the DPO stated that all police officers, irrespective of their rank, should greet any teacher with respect.

He further emphasized that whenever a teacher visits a police station or checkpoint, they should be accorded special protocol. Gandapur highlighted that if an educator commits a routine mistake on the roads, they should be cautioned with politeness.
