Two additional PIA cabin crew members go missing in Canada: With their successful ‘escape,’ the count of PIA crew members who absconded upon arrival in Canada this year has now risen to four. Similarly, four PIA crew members had eluded authorities last year as well.
A spokesperson for PIA revealed that two senior flight attendants, Khalid Mehmood and Feda Hussain, arrived in Canada from Islamabad aboard PIA flight PK772. Upon reaching Toronto, instead of returning to their home country, they managed to slip away.
“Upon its scheduled return to Islamabad, the two senior crew members were conspicuously absent in Toronto. Consequently, the national flag carrier’s flight had to return to Islamabad without the two flight attendants,” the spokesperson stated.
He further mentioned that local authorities in Toronto had been notified about the missing PIA staff members. Strict departmental action is slated to be taken against both individuals, with their services likely to be terminated following a thorough investigation.
